Early in the new stone age, our
ancestors lived here. 3500 years ago,the Emperor Gongliu built the
state called Bin. He taught people how to plant crops and started
agriculture the ealiest. At the beginning of Shang Dynasty, the King
,Gu gong dan fu commanded Bin people to migrate in Qishan county,
the starting of agriculture based the foundation of Zhou
Dynasty. In Qin Dynasty it was called QiCounty and Xinping
County in East Han Dynasty. In North Wei Dynasty it was called Baitu
County. In West Wei Dynasty Binzhou was set up here. In Sui, Tang
and Song Dynasty they set up two governmental levels. In Hongwu
Period in Ming Dynasty, Xinping County was dissmissed and
directly governed by Binzhou.In 1964 it was called Binxian
County.
